It’s very easy to surmise that celebrities or famous people have very expensive furnishings. Videos of their rooms seem to support this idea. Looking closely, you’ll find that there are inexpensive alternatives – that’s if, you know where to look.

My daughter is obsessed with room makeovers. Every now and then, something would catch her fancy and she’d want it in her room. A famous YouTuber once posted a video of her room and my daughter zoomed in on the hanging nightstand. I admit it looked very nice so with her dad’s help, she went to work.

The result is a piece of adorable and really useful furniture. It was so easy she practically made it by herself – well, except for the drilling part. And there’s an added bonus: no more hitting the bedside table with your toes!
