There are a lot of DIY plans and ideas for home furnishings out there. One of the most important considerations when deciding which project to tackle is the availability of materials. What do you currently have that will allow you to turn trash into treasure?
In my case, it was an old bicycle that’s been sitting in our garage for far too long. It was my son’s first grown-up bike. He has abandoned it already, having moved away for college. My husband didn’t want to throw it away for sentimental reasons. So he thought of turning it into a bike entry table.
It makes for a great welcome treat. It’s rustic and it adds charm to the house. If you’re considering making one, you’d need basic carpentry and woodwork skills. It’s pretty easy, actually. You can get this done in less than a day.
