In my case, it was an old bicycle that’s been sitting in our garage for far too long. It was my son’s first grown-up bike. He has abandoned it already, having moved away for college. My husband didn’t want to throw it away for sentimental reasons. So he thought of turning it into a bike entry table.
It makes for a great welcome treat. It’s rustic and it adds charm to the house. If you’re considering making one, you’d need basic carpentry and woodwork skills. It’s pretty easy, actually. You can get this done in less than a day.

- A Bike
- Wood for the top
- Brackets to attach to the wall
- Clamp connectors
- ¾-in Dowel rod
- Wood screws
- Rectangular brackets (optional)
- Iron piping (optional)
- Paint and wood stain (optional)

- Paintbrush
